I am a hugeee snacker. Especially with my meal prepping and being on the run so much I always have to have snacks around me to avoid getting hungry and overeating or to avoid stopping and getting fries or other junk food. And snacks don't have to mean chips and cookies or other over processed junk food that will ruin your work out. There are plenty of ways to snack while staying healthy and here are a few of my favorites!
These are a new favorite of mine! I saw the recipe on pinterest and couldn't resist and they are so easy to make! Plus like I said they are a quick healthy boost that you can grab for breakfast or a on the go snack. All you need is almond or peanut butter, ground flax seed, dark chocolate chips, oats and raw honey! I'll attach the link for the recipe for you all!

Skinny Pop!
This stuff is AH-mazing. Literally one of my favorite snacks and perfect if you're craving something salty. Not to mention a serving size is 3 3/4 cups and it's only 155 calories! Highly reccomend, and you can get it at any local grocery store!

Greek Yogurt (Oikos Triple Zero)
Greek yogurt is a great snack with a ton of healthy nutrients you wouldn't think would be in it. First of all it's a great source of protein (and if you wanted even more you can feel free to mix some of your protein powder in), it also contains healthy probiotics, B-12 (which produces natural energy), and calcium. It's also a perfect post workout snack for recovery! My current favorite is the Oikos Double Zero, but there are ton of brands you can try!

Apple Rings and Peanut Butter
I love this snack! It is of course higher in calories depending on what type of peanut butter you use but who cares? Not me, this will always be a quick easy snack, also feel free to add celery too! (I've even had a friend dip her carrots in peanut butter I mean I guess don't knock it til you try it right?)

Rice Cakes
I'm that person in class who is awkwardly crunching of rice cakes everyday. No shame, these things are great for you and you can eat them so many different ways! I usually go for non salted rice cakes with peanut butter on them but a fitness guru I follow on Instagram Jill Christine loves to take the Quaker Tomato Basil rice cakes and put everything in between them! For example her go to airport snack is going to subway and asking for a ton of veggies and putting them in between the two rice cakes! How easy and good does that sound? The possibilities are endless with these amazing low calorie treats!

Protein Shakes
Protein shakes can be used as a snack or even as a meal replacement and are a great way to fill up with less calories! You can get such a variety of flavors, I prefer vanilla so I can add my own fruit and get flavor that way. I always mix in like a few strawberries, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and some ice and it tastes great. You can get whey protein or plant protein, some people personally think whey tastes better. Whey protein is high in amino acids while plant protein is said to be easier to digest and lacks the side effects associated with whey protein.
